Racing Hondas 2027 – Classes, Costs & How to Enter

Racing Hondas has been structured for 2027 with one clear objective:

More Hondas. More flexibility. More ways to race.

Cars are classified by power-to-weight ratio, creating five performance-based classes and giving competitors greater freedom over how their cars are built and developed.

The 2027 structure also includes simple performance adjustments, Championship Ballast, reduced registration and race entry costs, and a Single-Event Registration option for competitors wanting to experience Racing Hondas before committing to the Championship.

Power-to-Weight Class Structure

The five-class structure accommodates a broad range of Honda race cars while maintaining sensible performance windows between classes.

Competitors have the flexibility to develop their cars or use weight adjustments to compete within their chosen power-to-weight class, rather than being constrained by highly prescriptive technical specifications.

Performance Adjustments

Adjustments are cumulative where more than one applies.

Forced induction and sequential gearbox cars are welcome throughout the class structure, with their permitted power-to-weight ratio adjusted to recognise the performance advantages associated with those configurations.

Championship Ballast

Existing ballast reduces by 5 kg following each race, with any ballast earned from a class win then added, up to the 30 kg maximum.

Championship Ballast operates independently within each class and is designed to help maintain close and competitive racing while remaining straightforward for competitors to understand.

Membership, Registration & Entry

Both Full-Season and Single-Event registered competitors score Championship points.

There is no requirement to commit to the full season in order to compete for points. Single-Event Registration provides a straightforward way to join the Championship at any point during the season.

Want to try Racing Hondas?

Your first £35 Single-Event Registration includes membership for that event, meaning you can race and score Championship points for just £445 including entry.

This option is designed for competitors wanting to experience Racing Hondas before deciding whether to make a longer-term commitment.

Want to race again?

After your first event, Annual Membership is required.

You can then either continue with £35 Single-Event Registration for each event you enter or upgrade to £165 Full-Season Registration.

If you decide to upgrade before entering your next event, the £35 paid for your first Single-Event Registration will be credited against the £165 Full-Season Registration fee.

This means trying Racing Hondas first doesn’t cost you more in membership and registration if you then decide to commit to the full season.

Event Format

Racing Hondas will compete across seven one-day events in 2027, with the Championship featuring at some of the UK’s leading modified and Japanese car events, including Modified LIVE, Tunerfest, Go Japan! and JDM JAM.

The one-day format keeps race weekends compact, while the high-profile events provide valuable exposure for competitors and their sponsors.

The standard Championship entry provides 45 minutes of competitive track time:

15-minute Qualifying → 15-minute Race 1 → 15-minute Race 2

Event Entry – £410 Inc VAT

A separate 15-minute Practice session will be available for £55.

Practice is optional, so competitors who already test or don’t require the additional track time don’t have to pay for it.

Racing Hondas in 2027
