The Racing Hondas Championship has unveiled the dramatic low-slung S2000R race car that will form the basis of an all-new S2000 Cup class in 2026.
The S2000R has been designed and developed specifically with rear-wheel-drive racing enthusiasts in mind.
A substantial rear wing and frontal aero splitter have already enabled the car to turn heads in initial testing in which the S2000R proved rapid and reliable out of the box.
It is estimated a ready-to-race S2000R (self build) will cost c.£16k – around £7,500 for a donor car plus a discounted S2000R competition kit from Japanese performance car parts import specialist Tegiwa.
Around 3,500 S2000s are believed to still be in existence in the UK – so get looking!
The S2000R cars will then run within their own S2000 Cup class with the rest of the Racing Hondas grid in 2026, complete with a separate points-scoring system.
The first three builds will each receive a fully paid-for entry into the 2026 Racing Hondas Championship.
