Dan Thackeray, Spencer Fortag and Callum Houchen were the winners as classes B and C conjured up two thrilling races in Snetterton’s season finale.

Class B Champion Thackeray continued his dominant form, taking pole and a comfortable Race 1 win ahead of Ryan Cunningham and Lewis Barker, who scored his second consecutive podium.

Barker’s finish, however, wasn’t enough to challenge Sam Linssner for third overall, despite Linssner retiring following contact with Fortag.

Until that point, the crowds had been treated to an enthralling  five-way battle between Linssner, Barker, Fortag, Sammy Mileham and newcomer Danny Weston. Almost joining them were Luke Krassismenou and Harry Greenhill until their elimination in a collision.

In a wet Race 2, Barker led early from fourth on the reversed grid before spinning, allowing Fortag into a six-second lead over Mileham.

Mileham closed in late on, but Fortag held on for his first Class B win – the only Civic FN2 victory of the season.

Mileham took second, with Thackeray completing the podium in third from eighth on Class B grid.

Linssner finished fourth, ahead of Cunningham whose avoidance of Barker’s spin cost him in his battle with Class A Champion Will Self to be the championship’s Overall Runner-Up.

In Class C, Callum Houchen completed his season in style with wins in both races, narrowly holding off Champion and season-long rival Matt Rowling.

While Rowling drew alongside and occasionally edged ahead, Houchen’s FN2 straight-line speed proved decisive along Snetterton’s long straights, completing an exciting finale to the Class C campaign.
