The Racing Hondas Championship has released further technical details for the Honda S2000R – the car at the heart of its brand-new S2000 Cup class launching in 2026.

An interim specification is now available [CLICK HERE], with the final version – including nominated control parts suppliers – expected by 23 October.

Championship technical partner Tegiwa will then make a complete ‘build kit’ of parts available to order online.

To mark the launch, the first three customers to order a full kit will each receive free entries into the 2026 S2000 Cup, worth more than £3,500, courtesy of Tegiwa.

The new class is designed specifically for rear-wheel-drive enthusiasts, with estimated build costs of around £17,000 (including donor car plus Tegiwa kit).

The S2000 Cup will run as a stand-alone category within the Racing Hondas Championship.

“Interest in the S2000R has been strong since its public debut in August,” said Championship Co-ordinator Carl McKellar.

“The order books will open soon, and with three free entries up for grabs, it really will be fastest fingers first.

“We are currently finalising the best deals on control parts to ensure cost, reliability and value for money – a real antidote to spiralling costs elsewhere.

“We’re confident competitors will love building and racing the S2000R with us in 2026 and we are aware of multiple cars already in build.”
