Class A points leader Kevin Talbot has partnered with Onna Motorsport for the remainder of the 2025 Racing Hondas season.

Talbot will continue to prepare his distinctive Jordan F1-liveried Integra DC5 but will hand over running duties to Onna at race events.

Onna already runs Civic EP3s for James Kembrey and Duncan Holloway in Class B and the collaboration with Talbot is a boost for its previously-announced plans for expansion in the Racing Hondas Championship.

“I’m going to have to learn how to delegate,” quipped Irishman Talbot, a railway ‘shunter’ by day.

“Dale and Amy plus JK (James Kembrey) who own Onna certainly know which way is up and it’ll be handy having their team take some pressure off me between sessions – it means I can focus more on the driving.”

Talbot has won three of the season’s opening six rounds – results that exceed his pre-season expectations.

“I was thinking a podium or two might be nice so it’s going better than I envisaged.

“We managed to lighten the car by 70kgs compared to last year so now we are ‘right on the regs’ – extracting the max in terms of power to weight – and it’s making a difference.

“The highlight has to be the win in Race 1 at Brands Hatch – third to first into the first corner with a big move that took me past Liam Collins.

“If I hadn’t got in front he’d have hot-lapped it and been gone – I was proud of how I defended from Liam after as it meant a six-point swing between us. He’d been my closest rival on points going into that race.”

Heading to Snetterton’s up-coming rounds this Sunday (27 July), it’s local driver Philip Wright who is now Talbot’s closest challenger after coming out on top of a robust duel with the Integra driver in Race 2 at Brands.

Talbot added: “Phil’s Civic has more power than my car which will be good for him on the long straights at Snett – I suspect he’ll probably be my biggest problem again there.”
