Dave Buky has confirmed he will make his Racing Hondas Class A debut with a Civic EK at Donington Park.
The car, powered by a K24 engine, is the result of an extensive build project by Buky’s Kinetic Motorsport concern at its workshop in Lancashire.
“I’m pretty sure we’ve maxed out the car according to the regulations,” said Buky, last year’s Class B runner-up despite contesting only 12 of 16 rounds.
“Tommy Knight, one of our team drivers who finished P3 in Class B last year, proved that he was capable of running at the sharp end with his new Class A Civic EK at Cadwell Park last week.
“So as long as the car has the right bhp per ton then I don’t see why I can’t be mixing it with the front runners.”
Kinetic’s line-up at Donington is set to increase to three cars in fact with racing novice Owen Diver scheduled to join Sammy Mileham in the second of the team’s Class B Civic EP3s.
Diver missed Cadwell’s opening rounds due to a back injury.
The Racing Hondas Championship’s third and fourth rounds of 2025 will take place at Donington Park on Bank Holiday Monday 26 May as part of organiser Time Attack ORG’s big JDM Jam modified car show.
