James Allen will debut his new and unique ‘Fast n Furious’ Civic EJ2 in Cadwell Park’s opening Racing Honda rounds.
The Class A-spec EJ2 coupe took Allen’s Garage24 Motorsport concern just three weeks to convert from a bare road shell to its current race guise – complete in all black livery just like the ones from the Hollywood blockbuster movie series.
Shake downs at the Nurburgring and then Spa-Francorchamps followed by a first race outing at Castle Combe have confirmed its competitiveness.
But Cadwell on Bank Holiday Monday 5 May will be the first time the car – fitted with a throaty K24 engine – will have been seen by the Racing Honda trackside crowd which at Cadwell is anticipated to be close to 10,000 people.
Warminster based Allen, an outright podium finisher in 2024, said: “Last year’s EP3 was a bit of a handful by comparison.
“The EJ2 feels faster and the lap times back that up. It’s also feels nimbler and easier to drive.
“They call Cadwell a ‘mini Nurburgring’ so it will be an ideal place to put the car through its paces.”
As well as the opening rounds of the 2025 Racing Hondas Championship, Cadwell Park’s 5 May event will also feature the first outing of the new season for Time Attack and Drift Pro.
A carnival atmosphere is expected as thousands of modified and tuning car enthusiasts rock up for the huge Modified Live show.
