McNeill and Buky share Brands Hatch honours as Boston stays unbeaten in Class B

16th June 2026

The Racing Hondas Championship produced another thrilling weekend of action at Brands Hatch during Tunerfest South, with Fraser McNeill and Dave Buky taking a win apiece in Class A while Rob Boston continued his unbeaten run in Class B.

With just 0.148 seconds covering the top three in qualifying, the stage was set for some of the closest racing of the season. A late red flag interrupted the session, but it was Buky who emerged on top, edging Bob Barron and McNeill in a tightly contested fight for pole position.

CLASS A — McNeill breaks through before Buky strikes back

After consistently knocking on the door throughout the opening rounds, Fraser McNeill finally converted his pace into victory in Race 1.

A spectacular three-wide move into Druids on lap four helped propel the Kilted KSwaps driver into the lead, setting up a fierce battle with Buky and championship leader Barron. Despite repeated late attacks from Buky at Clearways, McNeill held his nerve to secure victory by less than eight tenths of a second, with Barron completing a podium covered by just 1.4 seconds.

Race 2 saw Buky hit back immediately.

A strong launch off the line allowed the Kinetic Motorsport driver to grab the lead into Turn 1, while Barron’s slower getaway left him playing catch-up. Once in front, Buky controlled the race superbly, eventually taking the chequered flag 1.5 seconds clear of Barron to secure his first victory of the season.

James Alford completed the podium after another impressive performance, while McNeill’s hopes of a second victory ended with a late technical issue that forced him to retire from the race.

👉 Key takeaway: Class A is no longer a one-man show, with McNeill and Buky both proving they have the pace to challenge Barron.

CLASS B — Boston remains unbeaten despite relentless pressure

Rob Boston continued his remarkable start to life in Racing Hondas, extending his unbeaten run with another double victory in Class B.

The S2000R driver topped qualifying and carried that pace into Race 1, where he spent much of the race battling with James Alford’s Class A Civic while controlling the fight for class honours behind. A brave move around the inside at Paddock Hill Bend highlighted another commanding performance.

Behind him, Lewis Barker crossed the line ahead of Sammy Mileham, but a five-second track limits penalty dropped Barker behind Philip Wright in the final classification.

Race 2 proved even more dramatic.

Starting sixth in class, Boston fought his way through the field and hunted down long-time class leader Sammy Mileham, eventually making the decisive move before Cooper Straight with only a handful of laps remaining.

Mileham secured another strong second-place finish, while Spencer Fortag delivered one of his best drives of the season to claim third despite carrying front splitter damage for much of the race.

The closing stages were attritional, with multiple retirements and non-starters reducing the field, but Boston once again emerged on top to maintain his perfect record.

👉 Key takeaway: Boston remained the man to beat at Brands Hatch, while Mileham continued his consistent run at the front of the Class B field.

Next Stop: Oulton Park

The Racing Hondas Championship now heads to Oulton Park for Rounds 9 & 10 on 4 July as part of Tunerfest North, with both Class A and Class B battles continuing to intensify as the 2026 season reaches its halfway point.
