Driving the Kilted KSwaps Honda Civic EG, Bob began the season in commanding fashion and quickly established himself at the sharp end of both Class A and the overall championship. But with the overall title decided by points scored across both Class A and Class B, his route to the crown developed into a season-long challenge from across the Racing Hondas field.

While Fraser McNeill and Dave Buky increasingly challenged Bob within Class A, Lewis Barker’s consistent performances and victories in Class B saw him emerge as Bob’s principal rival for the overall championship. Setbacks for Bob at Oulton Park and Brands Hatch kept the door open, while Lewis’s superb double victory at Snetterton ensured the overall fight remained very much alive heading into the closing rounds.

Bob responded when it mattered. After an important double of his own at Snetterton, he arrived at the Cadwell Park finale and completed his season with two Class A victories, securing both the Class A crown and the 2026 Racing Hondas Overall Championship.

Congratulations also go to Lewis Barker, who finishes an excellent 2nd Overall as well as becoming Class B Champion, and Fraser McNeill, who takes 3rd Overall after a season spent firmly among the Class A frontrunners.

Driving the Kilted KSwaps Honda Civic EG, Bob began the season in formidable fashion, taking both victories at Silverstone before continuing his winning run at Cadwell Park and Donington. But as the season developed, the Class A fight became increasingly competitive, with Fraser McNeill, Dave Buky and Tommy Knight all taking the challenge to the early championship leader.

Knight was the first to break Bob’s winning streak at Cadwell, before McNeill and Buky both claimed victories at Brands Hatch. Oulton Park then brought a major setback when Bob retired from Race 2, allowing McNeill to capitalise with victory and bring himself firmly into the championship fight. 

Bob responded with a hard-fought double at Snetterton, but there was another twist at Brands Hatch when a late mechanical problem denied him a potential second victory, leaving McNeill to take the win and ensuring the Class A battle continued to the finale.

At Cadwell Park, Bob delivered when it mattered, completing the season with two victories to secure the Class A crown. 

Congratulations also to Fraser McNeill, who finishes 2nd in Class A, and Dave Buky, who takes 3rd, after both played major roles in a fiercely contested season.

Driving the Europa Racing Honda Civic Type R EP3, Lewis’s championship was built through a season of consistency and determination in a fiercely competitive Class B field. The early rounds saw the advantage move between several drivers, with Philip Wright, Sammy Mileham and Luke Sedzikowski all enjoying success, while Lewis kept himself firmly in the championship fight.

As the season developed, Lewis became an increasingly consistent presence at the front, keeping himself in contention as the battle between the Class B championship regulars evolved.

The standout weekend of his campaign came at Snetterton. Lewis was the class benchmark throughout, taking both race victories and delivering his strongest weekend of the season at a crucial stage of the championship.

He carried that momentum through the closing stages before arriving at Cadwell Park for the finale, where he finished the year in style. An excellent start put Lewis into the Class B lead in Race 1, and he went on to take victory before bringing his championship-winning campaign to a close in Race 2.

Bob Barron ended the year in commanding fashion with two Class A victories and two fastest laps, while Class B honours were shared between Lewis Barker and SRE entrant Rob Boston as the final chequered flags of the season fell.

CLASS A — Barron completes the season with a dominant double

After setting the pace in morning practice, Bob Barron carried that speed into qualifying with a 1:34.997 to secure pole position. Dave Buky joined him on the front row with a 1:35.994, while Fraser McNeill took third despite a difficult session. 

Race 1 saw Buky briefly ahead during the opening exchanges, before Barron regained the lead on the first lap. Once in front, Barron began to pull clear.

Behind them, James Alford also made an excellent start to move ahead of Michael Barron, while McNeill was beginning his own recovery. Mechanical problems subsequently forced both Buky and Michael Barron into retirement, while McNeill worked his way into second and Alford completed the podium.

At the front there was no stopping Barron. He crossed the line 17.024 seconds clear of McNeill, with Alford another 1.746 seconds behind in third. Barron also claimed the fastest Class A lap with a 1:34.940. 

The reversed order for Race 2 put Alford on pole alongside McNeill, with Barron beginning the final race of the season from third. 

McNeill made the best start and led into Coppice, but Barron was quickly on the attack. By the first visit to The Mountain he had worked his way past McNeill and into a lead he would not surrender.

While Barron began to establish himself at the front, the battle behind remained much closer. McNeill, Alford and SRE entrant Michael Barron fought over second throughout the race, with McNeill eventually securing the position by just 0.731 seconds from Alford. Michael Barron finished another 1.423 seconds behind in fourth.

Buky recovered from an unfortunate opening lap to finish fifth in Class A, while Barron completed his perfect afternoon with victory by 5.981 seconds and another fastest lap — this time a 1:34.848. 

👉 Key takeaway: Pole position, two victories and two fastest laps made it a commanding final weekend for Barron, while McNeill and Alford completed the Class A podium in both races.

CLASS B — Barker and Boston share the final honours

Rob Boston immediately demonstrated his pace around Cadwell Park, putting the SRE-entered S2000R third overall in practice before qualifying an impressive fourth overall and fastest of the Class B runners with a 1:37.628. Lewis Barker qualified second in class, with Andrew Layton third. 

Race 1 turned that order around almost immediately.

Barker made an excellent start and grabbed the Class B lead on the opening lap. Boston was forced into an early pit stop, but recovered strongly after rejoining and worked his way back to second in class.

Barker remained clear at the front to take the Class B victory, finishing fourth overall, while Boston’s recovery brought him home second in class. Layton completed the top three, while Boston underlined his pace by recording the fastest Class B lap of the race with a 1:37.522. 

Race 2 belonged to Boston.

He made a superb start and established himself at the head of Class B, maintaining the advantage throughout the race. Barker’s challenge was compromised by a rare mistake, but he recovered to finish second, with Layton completing the Class B order.

Boston finished fifth overall and completed his afternoon with another fastest Class B lap, lowering his best to 1:36.609.

Championship Honours

With the final chequered flag of the 2026 Racing Hondas season now fallen, attention turns to the final Championship standings.

Following confirmation of the final results and points, we’ll shortly be announcing our 2026 Racing Hondas Champions and Championship finishers, celebrating the drivers and performances that have shaped the season.

Starting at Brands Hatch on 29 March and concluding at Snetterton 300 on 26 September, the 2027 calendar takes Racing Hondas to six of the UK’s leading circuits, with two Championship races at each event.

The calendar has also been carefully structured to provide a sensible spread between meetings, giving competitors valuable time for preparation, maintenance and development throughout the season.

EASTER MONDAY START AT BRANDS HATCH

The 2027 Racing Hondas season gets underway on Easter Monday, 29 March, when the Championship heads to Brands Hatch for its opening two races as part of Tunerfest.

From there, the Championship moves to Cadwell Park in May, followed by Donington Park at the end of the month, before heading to a completely new venue for Racing Hondas.

RACING HONDAS MAKES ITS CASTLE COMBE DEBUT

On Saturday 26 June, Racing Hondas will race at Castle Combe for the very first time, bringing the Championship to the fast and challenging Wiltshire circuit as part of Modified Live.

It will be a completely new venue for Racing Hondas, giving competitors the opportunity to take on Castle Combe for the first time in the Championship’s history.

The second half of the season then takes competitors to Oulton Park in July, back to Brands Hatch for Go Japan! in August, before the final two races of the Championship at Snetterton 300 in September.

RACING IN FRONT OF THE CROWDS

As always, Racing Hondas will form part of some of the UK’s biggest performance car events, with the Championship appearing alongside Tunerfest, Modified Live, JDM JAM and Go Japan! throughout 2027.

It means every meeting combines close Honda racing on circuit with busy show paddocks, car displays, clubs, traders and thousands of performance car enthusiasts.

For competitors, it provides the opportunity to race at some of the country’s best circuits while being part of events created specifically around the performance and modified car community.

Racing Hondas is set for a significant evolution in 2027, with a new five-class structure designed to welcome a much wider range of Honda race cars onto the grid and give competitors greater freedom over how their cars are built and developed.

The new approach is built around a simple message:

More Hondas. More flexibility. More ways to race.

At the heart of the changes is a move to five performance-based classes, determined primarily by power-to-weight ratio. The structure ranges from Class A at 221–240 bhp/tonne through to Class E at up to 155 bhp/tonne.

Rather than relying on highly prescriptive technical specifications, the new structure will allow competitors to develop their cars or use weight adjustments to find the class that best suits their Honda.

FIVE CLASSES – POWER-TO-WEIGHT

Forced-induction cars and those using sequential gearboxes are welcome throughout the structure, with a 5 bhp/tonne performance adjustment applying to each configuration. Where both apply, the adjustments are cumulative.

Championship Ballast will also be introduced, with a class win adding 15 kg and ballast reducing by 5 kg following each race, up to a maximum of 30 kg.

The result is a class structure that protects a place for existing Racing Hondas competitors while significantly broadening the range of Honda race cars that can join them on the grid.

A LOWER-COST ROUTE ONTO THE GRID

The changes for 2027 go beyond the technical regulations.

Annual Membership will reduce to £95, with Full-Season Registration costing £165.

For competitors who don’t want to commit to an entire season, a new £35 Single-Event Registration will also be available – and importantly, both Full-Season and Single-Event registered competitors will score Championship points.

The first £35 Single-Event Registration includes membership for that event, meaning a new competitor can experience Racing Hondas and score points for £445 including race entry.

If they decide to return, Annual Membership is then required. Competitors can continue to register event-by-event or move to Full-Season Registration, with the first £35 credited against the £165 Full-Season Registration fee if they upgrade before entering their next event.

SEVEN ONE-DAY EVENTS

Racing Hondas will compete across seven one-day events in 2027, continuing to put the Championship in front of enthusiast audiences at events including Modified LIVE, Tunerfest, Go Japan! and JDM JAM.

The compact format will feature a 15-minute qualifying session followed by two 15-minute races, with event entry set at £410 Inc VAT.

Where the timetable allows, competitors will also have the option of purchasing a separate 15-minute Practice session for £55, giving those who want the additional track time a complete 60-minute package for £465.

The one-day format keeps race weekends compact while the high-profile events provide valuable exposure for competitors and their sponsors.

Barron looked set to complete another double before a late technical problem brought his Race 2 charge to a sudden end, leaving McNeill to capitalise and ensuring plenty remains to play for heading into the Cadwell Park season finale.

CLASS A — McNeill capitalises as late drama denies Barron

Qualifying underlined just how close the Class A battle had become. Dave Buky produced a superb 51.692 late in the session to snatch pole position from Barron by just 0.141 seconds, with McNeill only another 0.040 seconds behind in third. James Alford continued his improving form with fourth. 

Race 1 produced one of the moves of the season almost immediately.

Starting alongside Buky, Barron launched his attack around the outside into Paddock Hill Bend before completing the move through Graham Hill Bend. Once ahead, he controlled the race superbly as Buky came under early pressure from McNeill. 

Barron gradually established enough breathing room to secure another Class A victory, taking the flag 1.579 secondsahead of Buky, with McNeill completing a closely matched leading trio just 0.752 seconds further back. Alford took fourth, while Danny Weston narrowly held off SRE entrant Sam Goward for fifth on the road. 

The partially reversed grid transformed Race 2, with Goward and Weston sharing the front row and Barron starting back in sixth.

Weston initially grabbed the advantage before receiving a ten-second penalty for a false start, while McNeill produced a superb charge through to the lead. Barron was following closely behind, carving his way through from sixth before diving past McNeill at Paddock Hill Bend on lap four. 

With Barron back at the front and setting the fastest lap of the race, another victory appeared to be within reach — until the entire complexion of the race changed in the closing stages.

Barron suddenly slowed entering Clearways on lap 12. McNeill swept through into the lead before Barron’s Civic stopped completely after a MAF sensor plug came adrift. The race was subsequently red flagged, leaving McNeill to take a dramatic victory ahead of Buky.

SRE entrant Goward was classified third on the road in the amended result, just 0.056 seconds ahead of Alford, with Weston dropping to sixth overall following his ten-second penalty. 

👉 Key takeaway: Barron looked set for another Brands Hatch double, but his late misfortune handed McNeill a crucial victory and ensured the Class A story rolls on to the season finale.

CLASS B — Boston rules the road as Barker keeps delivering

Rob Boston once again provided the on-track benchmark in Class B, qualifying his S2000R on class pole with a 53.139, ahead of championship contender Lewis Barker and Spencer Fortag. 

Barker made the better start in Race 1 and initially found a way ahead of Boston, appearing capable of taking the fight directly to the S2000R.

Boston responded with an attacking move down the inside at Paddock Hill Bend and, once back ahead, controlled the remainder of the race to take another Class B victory on the road.

Barker followed him home in second, while Fortag secured third after battling with Invitation entrant Ryan Barker in the sister Europa Racing Civic. 

Race 2 presented a very different challenge, with Boston and Barker starting deep in the reversed order.

Boston wasted no time, charging through to the Class B lead by the end of the opening lap. Barker initially found himself caught behind a determined Fortag, but made his move on lap four and set about chasing the S2000R ahead.

There was no stopping Boston, however. He completed another Class B double on the road, with Barker second and Fortag once again taking third. 

As an SRE entrant, Boston’s performances are recognised on track rather than in the championship standings, leaving Barker’s consistent Brands Hatch weekend an important one as the registered Class B contenders prepare for the final two races.

👉 Key takeaway: Boston remained the man to beat on track, while Barker delivered another strong weekend as the Class B championship heads towards its Cadwell Park conclusion.

Next Stop: Cadwell Park — The Season Finale

It all comes down to Cadwell Park.

The Racing Hondas Championship heads to Lincolnshire for Rounds 15 & 16 on 20 September, as part of Modified LIVE, with the final two races of the 2026 season set to decide the remaining championship honours.

In Class B, Lewis Barker produced a standout weekend of his own, taking pole position before converting his pace into two commanding victories and the fastest lap in both races. 

CLASS A — Barron holds firm under pressure

Barron set the early benchmark in qualifying, producing a 2:04.350 to secure pole position by 0.867 seconds from Buky. McNeill completed the top three, while returning former Class B champion Philip Wright impressed with fourth on his return to Class A machinery. 

Race 1 immediately came alive as McNeill made a flying start and challenged the front row into the opening corners, but Barron held firm to retain the lead.

As the race developed, Buky found another gear. After passing McNeill, he began closing rapidly on Barron and set the fastest lap of the race on lap six as the gap at the front disappeared.

It all came down to the run out of Murrays on the final lap. Buky tucked into the tow and made one final charge for the line, but Barron held on by just 0.142 seconds, with McNeill completing the podium only three seconds behind. 

Race 2 brought another opportunity for the chasing pack after the reverse-grid draw placed Danny Weston on pole alongside McNeill.

McNeill grabbed the early advantage before a stranded James Alford brought out the Safety Car. At the restart, Barron worked his way past Buky before making the decisive move on McNeill to take the lead.

Once again there was little room for error. Barron took the flag just 0.856 seconds ahead of McNeill, with Buky only another 0.165 seconds behind in third — meaning the leading trio were covered by just over a second at the finish. Buky again underlined his pace by setting the fastest Class A lap. 

Wright endured more frustration on his return, with electrical problems compromising both races despite showing front-running pace.

👉 Key takeaway: Barron completed another double, but Buky and McNeill ensured there was nothing comfortable about it.

CLASS B — Barker delivers a Snetterton masterclass

Lewis Barker was the benchmark in Class B from qualifying onwards.

The Europa Racing driver claimed class pole with a 2:10.587, more than six tenths clear of Sammy Mileham, with Luke Sedzikowski and Spencer Fortag completing the leading four. 

Barker carried that advantage straight into Race 1 and controlled proceedings to secure the Class B victory ahead of Mileham.

Behind them, Fortag and Sedzikowski produced a superb fight for the final podium position. The pair were separated by virtually nothing as they raced towards the chequered flag, with Fortag winning the drag to the line by just 0.140 seconds to take third. 

Race 2 proved equally impressive from Barker.

Starting further back on the reversed grid, he quickly worked his way into contention and once again established himself at the head of Class B.

Mileham initially finished second on the road, but a post-race two-place penalty for a Safety Car infringement dropped him to fourth in the amended classification. That promoted Sedzikowski to second and Fortag to third, continuing the latter’s impressive run of podium finishes. 

Thomas Mitchell also threatened the podium late in the race, briefly getting ahead of Fortag before an off-track moment dropped him back down the order.

Barker, however, remained untouchable, completing a perfect weekend of pole position, two Class B victories and two fastest laps.

Next Stop: Brands Hatch

The Racing Hondas Championship returns to Brands Hatch for Rounds 13 & 14 on 31 August, as part of GoJapan.

With just four races remaining after Snetterton, the championship enters its decisive stages — and another strong weekend for Barron could put the Class A crown within reach.

CLASS A — McNeill seizes opportunity after dramatic finale

Qualifying produced another closely fought battle at the front, with Fraser McNeill edging championship leader Bob Barron to pole position by just 0.172 seconds. Tommy Knight secured third, while guest driver Michael Barron impressed with fourth on the grid after a superb lap.

Race 1 delivered another classic contest between the leading Class A contenders. Although McNeill led the field away, Barron wasted little time taking the lead around the outside at Cascades before completing the move into Shell and controlling the race from the front.

Behind the leaders, Michael Barron produced an outstanding drive on his guest appearance, holding third place under immense pressure from Dave Buky, Tommy Knight and Ryan Jenkinson for much of the race. His podium hopes ended heartbreakingly with a last-lap excursion at Shell, promoting Buky onto the podium behind Barron and McNeill.

Race 2 produced the biggest twist of the season so far.

After the reverse-grid draw placed Ryan Jenkinson and James Alford on the front row, McNeill charged into second by Cascades before the championship battle exploded moments later. Bob Barron retired on the exit of Shell, bringing out the Safety Car, while Tommy Knight’s challenge also ended prematurely with mechanical problems.

At the restart, Jenkinson and McNeill broke clear before another retirement for Alford promoted Dave Buky into third. The decisive moment came on the final lap, where McNeill found a way past Jenkinson at Old Hall after slight contact between the pair, securing his second victory of the season. Jenkinson recovered brilliantly to hold onto second ahead of Buky.

👉 Key takeaway: McNeill took full advantage of a dramatic Race 2 to breathe fresh life into the Class A title fight.

CLASS B — Boston remains untouchable

While Class A delivered the drama, Rob Boston once again underlined his pace in Class B.

The S2000R driver secured another class pole before battling Lewis Barker throughout Race 1, the pair trading paint as they fought for the class victory. Luke Sedzikowski added another podium finish, while the absence of Phil Wright and Sammy Mileham left valuable opportunities for the chasing championship contenders.

Race 2 saw Boston and Barker once again work their way through the field from the back of the reversed grid, carving past the opposition to secure another Class B one-two finish. Behind them, Spencer Fortag produced one of his strongest performances of the season to secure a well-earned third place and his first podium champagne celebration.

Boston’s latest double victory means the guest driver remains unbeaten on track since joining the championship, while Barker continues to establish himself as one of the leading registered contenders in Class B.

Next Stop: Snetterton

The Racing Hondas Championship now heads to Snetterton for Rounds 11 & 12 on 2 August, where the championship battle continues to build towards an exciting second half of the season.

After nearly 80 years as part of St John Ambulance, The Isle of Sheppey Band ( the last remaining band of its kind in the UK ) has become an independent organisation. This has allowed the band to expand its reach and impact across the island, providing inclusive access to music for children, young people and adults alike. With a strong emphasis on community and intergenerational learning, the band offers a welcoming environment where individuals of all backgrounds can develop musical skills and confidence.

As part of this partnership, the Isle of Sheppey Band will perform at two major Time Attack Organisation events in 2026:

• Brands Hatch Tunerfest South – 14 June (Event 4)
• Brands Hatch Go Japan – 31 August (Event 7)

These performances will place the band in front of thousands of attendees, offering a unique opportunity to showcase their talent while representing the Isle of Sheppey on a national stage.

The Isle of Sheppey Band is local to Club Time Attack’s HQ in Sheerness, Kent and was chosen by its staff as a local cause.

Richard Broster from the Isle of Sheppey Band said: “We’re incredibly proud to be performing at Brands Hatch. It’s an iconic venue, and to be part of such a high-energy event is a fantastic opportunity for the band. Moments like this show just how far we’ve come, and we’re excited to represent the Isle of Sheppey on such an occasion.”  

Alongside this, Club Time Attack will also raise funds for Mission Motorsport, a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans. Operating under its powerful motto, “Race, Retrain, Recover,” the charity uses motorsport as a pathway to rebuild confidence, develop new skills and create opportunities for sustainable careers within the automotive industry.

Laura Westrope from Mission Motorsport said: “We’re incredibly proud to be named as a Time Attack supported charity. Motorsport sits at the heart of what we do and partnerships like this give us the chance to reach more people, share our work, and ultimately support more members of the Armed Forces Community as they rebuild their lives beyond service.”

Throughout the 2026 season, a range of fundraising initiatives will contribute to supporting both charities. These include:

• Late payment entry fee penalties, as outlined within championship regulations
• Driver tyre raffles, with tyres generously supplied by Yokohama Tyres
• An end-of-season Club Time Attack raffle
• A headline raffle prize of a full-season driver entry into a Club Time Attack Championship
• Additional fundraising activities introduced across the season
