The S2000 Cup is a class designed for our one-make specification S2000, known as the S2000R.
The class runs on track with Class A and B during the same sessions and races.
The car was developed by our championship to get the amazing S2000 platform on track and to provide a RWD front engine opportunity for Honda fans to use as an option to the Civic and Integra platforms most commonly used in racing.
The 195bhp S2000R is designed to appeal to racers that prefer RWD and may already have experience in other similar cars such as Caterhams, BMW, Lotus, MX5’s and so on. It is envisaged that the S2000R will create a new army of Honda converts.
The car and class is our most tightly controlled. The car can only be run in one configuration and specific parts defined in the regulations to ensure it truly is a one-make car. All parts installed have function and while there are numerous, only those deemed necessary have been listed based on suitability to race, build cost and on going running costs.
For 2026 the S2000 Cup cars will run in Class B and for the first time Civic’s will have a new challenger in their grid, the RWD S2000.
On the driver side, you’ll need the correct personal safety kit such as helmet, race suit, gloves and boots and you’ll need to apply for your full Motorsport UK licence which includes the ARDS test.
Before you compete, your car will be scrutineered to confirm it meets the safety requirements and the relevant class regulations for compliance throughout the event. All of the detail you’ll need — including eligibility, required items, and what modifications are permitted — is set out in the official regulations linked lower down this page, and our team is always on hand if you’d like a steer, especially if it’s your first time in a competitive setting.
You can enter as a one‑off to see how you get on (SRE — Single Round Entry), or register for the full season and chase championship points and podium celebrations. You’ll need to run the championship control tyre: the Yokohama A052.
The class is very competitive and a wide variety of cars compete each year. If your car has more or less modifications than this class lists please check our other classes or contact our team to get your car into a suitable class.
