Class B is a strong racing car class and generally populated with the Civic Type R EP3 as there are so many in the UK of a similar Cup specification however in reality its open to any Honda using the same 195bhp per tonne power to weight formula.
The class runs on track with Class A and S2000 Cup during the same sessions and races.
Any Honda type can enter and as with each class, it’s ultimately determined by the power to weight of the car to ensure while cars can have varying which are a lot more limited than Class A, they retain close, fair and exciting racing.
Engines must be original and standard with various other race upgrades permitted such as plated diffs. All cars run the same size tyre and the regulations are extremely tight on what is permitted to ensure close racing. Unlike most cars of this Civic Cup specification, our rules permit big brake kits which means that pads and discs last a lot longer through the season, keep costs down and the cars breaking is improved dramatically.
For 2026 the S2000 Cup cars will run in Class B and for the first time Civic’s will have a new challenger in their grid, the RWD S2000.
On the driver side, you’ll need the correct personal safety kit such as helmet, race suit, gloves and boots and you’ll need to apply for your full Motorsport UK licence which includes the ARDS test.
Before you compete, your car will be scrutineered to confirm it meets the safety requirements and the relevant class regulations for compliance throughout the event. All of the detail you’ll need — including eligibility, required items, and what modifications are permitted — is set out in the official regulations linked lower down this page, and our team is always on hand if you’d like a steer, especially if it’s your first time in a competitive setting.
You can enter as a one‑off to see how you get on (SRE — Single Round Entry), or register for the full season and chase championship points and podium celebrations. You’ll need to run the championship control tyre: the Yokohama A052.
The class is very competitive and a wide variety of cars compete each year. If your car has more or less modifications than this class lists please check our other classes or contact our team to get your car into a suitable class.
Every event has the same race weekend format of tracktime of one hour on track, each of 15 minutes : Warm up, Qualifying and 2 races. With sessions scheduled in and around our other championship, Time Attack on race day.
Across the season, competitors perform in front of tens of thousands of spectators as the championship headlines on-track at major automotive events including Modified Live, Tunerfest, JDM Jam, GO Japan and the Obsession Car Show, providing a fantastic platform to showcase driving ability, engineering expertise and partner brands.
