Racing Hondas can confirm that Guy Martin will join the opening championship round on the 5th April in an S2000R following a successful test at Oulton Park last week.

The car’s striking green and white Takata livery takes its inspiration from the iconic Honda NSX Dome racing team colours of yesteryear. The car will be run this season by Tegiwa alongside their own 90’s‑tipped Advan‑liveried machine with Luke Sedzikowski at the wheel.

The test was arranged to give Guy his first opportunity to experience the S2000R package in full, and after completing more than 40 laps across both cars on the day, Guy has now confirmed that he will race at the opening round at Silverstone on Sunday 5th April with options to return later this season.

Guy used the Oulton Park test to build an early feel for the platform and gain a clear understanding of its character on circuit, with the day proving a decisive step towards confirming his entry.

Reflecting on the test, Guy said:

“It’s a cracking bit of kit. For me, it was all new, so the day was about getting my eye in and seeing what the car was like.  

I was really pleased with it. It’s one of those cars where I just need to build confidence, but I love Hondas and I really enjoyed it. It’s got huge amounts of grip, and after the test I feel really excited to race it in the pack at Silverstone.”

The Oulton Park outing was designed not only to introduce Guy to the S2000R, but also to support the continued development of the package. New brake components from Probite and revised chassis settings were both evaluated as part of ongoing work to further enhance the car beyond the 2025 test‑car specification and into an even more lively 2026 race spec.

Following on from Silverstone the car will be driven by Honda BTCC legend, James Kaye who makes a return to the Racing Hondas Championship this season.

Built around the Honda S2000 and developed as a competitive and accessible rear‑wheel‑drive race package, the S2000R marks an important step in the continued evolution of the Racing Hondas grid. The car will run in Class B for the 2026 season in an increased‑power configuration, now producing 195bhp per tonne.

The S2000 Cup forms part of the Racing Hondas Championship, which continues to deliver close, competitive Honda‑only racing within the Time Attack event roster, taking place at major petrol‑head car shows such as Tunerfest, Modified Live, Go Japan and JDM JAM.

A new theme of iconic liveries for the 2026 season is taking shape and the latest car off the blocks is this Takata NSX Dome livery-inspired S2000R.

Currently shrouded in mystery as to it’s yet-to-be-named driver, it is one of two cars which will be campaigned by Tegiwa.com racing team outfit this season.

It is expected to take to the track to be tested on 3rd March by the team.

Taking is cue from 1990’s iconic Honda liveries, its Yokohama Advan design is certainly striking.

It is expected that Tegiwa boss and chief race car pedeller Luke Sedzikowski will pilot the machine with a firm view on podium finishes this season.

The Club Time Attack organisation’s British Motorsports Marshals Club charity donation is gaining momentum as we head past the half way point in the season.

Earlier this year we announced that the beneficiary of the Club Time Attack charity initiative would be the BMMC which can be read here 

Club Time Attack is the organising club of the Time Attack, Racing Hondas and Drift Pro championships.

As of today (28 August) we are pleased to provide an update of progress as follows:

• To date we have raised £5200 (with three events remaining)
• We have provided, at no charge, 250 all-weather marshals’ rucksacks and sew-on patches to all attending marshals at our meetings – we will continue to provide them
• We have provided breakfast and lunch packs for all marshals at our meetings

We continue to raise funds and provide the free equipment – with Brands Hatch, Knockhill and Snetterton still to come on our calendar

Charly Harman joins to head-up Racing Hondas Championship Live Stream Coverage

We are delighted to welcome Charly Harman to the Time Attack Organisation in her role as presenter for the Racing Hondas Championship within our new live streaming service.

Charly comes to us as a popular Instagram personality and car nut with a passion for Honda Civic Type R’s, having her very own championship white JDM EP3 to give her a great insight into the championship cars, drivers and language.

She says  ‘ I’m beyond excited to be joining the Racing Hondas Championship this season. I have a massive love and passion for cars and racing, from racing in short oval track as a child/teenager to now modifying road cars and attending shows. I’ve had the pleasure of owning my EP3 for 2 years now and love it to pieces. I can’t wait to get stuck in, meet the drivers and bring the live stream to life with interviews and paddock gossip from each round as part of the streaming service.

Following the tremendous success of our 2024 fundraising campaign, Club Time Attack is proud to confirm that our charitable efforts will continue into the 2025 season – with the British Motorsports Marshals Club (BMMC) selected as this year’s beneficiary.

Marshals are the unsung heroes of motorsport. Their dedication, professionalism and passion form the very foundation of our sport, ensuring events are run safely and smoothly. It is only fitting that we support their development, training and ongoing service with meaningful contributions throughout the year.

In 2025, our fundraising efforts in aid of BMMC will include a range of initiatives, such as:
• Late payment entry fee penalties as noted within our regulations
• Driver tyre raffles, with tyres generously provided by Yokohama Tyres
• End-of-season Club Time Attack raffle at the 2025 Gala Awards Dinner
• A headline raffle prize of a full season driver entry in a Club Time Attack Championship
• Additional ad-hoc opportunities introduced during the season to raise further funds

All proceeds will be donated to the BMMC in a single lump sum, presented during our annual Gala Awards Dinner on 1st November 2025 in Daventry.

To compliment this and celebrate of 20 years of Time Attack, we are also proud to introduce a series of gifts to recognise and thank the marshal community for supporting us since 2005. These include:
• A minimum of 20 high-quality rucksack/kit bags per meeting, specifically designed for marshals
• A commemorative sew-on patch for every marshal in attendance at our events throughout 2025

The custom-designed kit bag is built with the needs of marshals in mind: weatherproof, durable and practical, with secure compartments and striking orange styling. Branded with our historic club logo and the playful adaptation of #orangearmy into “ARMYORANGE”. While the bag is valued at £80 we will be distribute them via a free ticket draw at each event to marshals in attendance.

This initiative reflects Yokohama’s ongoing commitment to supporting championship contenders and forms a key part of Club Time Attack’s 2025 charity fund. Yokohama is contributing 40 tyres in total to the prize pool, which will feature as raffle prizes.

At every event, drivers will be invited to purchase raffle tickets, with a draw held on-site to select the winners round by round. The lucky winners can then choose the type and size of tyre they require for future competition use.

All proceeds from the raffle, along with funds raised through other Club Time Attack initiatives, will be donated in full to our 2025 good cause, which will be announced very soon.

Andy Barnes, Club Time Attack Chairman, commented, “Yokohama is committed to us and our teams since our agreement began on January 1st. In addition to offering our teams exclusive access to discounted tyres that help lower running costs, this annual pool of prize tyres demonstrates their continued genuine support. Rather than awarding the tyres on performance, we agreed to divert their use and raise funds for worthwhile causes by inviting drivers to purchase raffle tickets for them. Last season without this initiative we raised nearly £7,000 – a significant sum for the small efforts within our club and we hope to improve on that this year.”
